Recommended Restaurants Cape Town

A Touch of Madness Victorian Quaffery - 12 Nuttall Road, Observatory
The delightful menu features anecdotes portraying the vast diversity of South African landscapes, together with simple but thoughtful food and wine pairings. An interesting salad selection caters for both carnivores and herbivores with variations such as the South African salad – slivers of springbok carpaccio, pecorino shavings and herb salad leaves, and the veggi salad with its colourful array of vegetables and leaves.
Mediterranean favourites which provide more substantial fare include the Risotto Bacon cooked Italian style with arborio rice, or a vegetarian option with feta and sun dried tomatoes. Main course recommendations are the Beef Ale stew – slow cooked with Guinness and served with mash, and the Greek Lamb slices marinated in garlic, herbs and yoghurt.
The tempting cakes – chocolate, carrot and cheesecake are all made in house and portions are large!
